Our Clients - Their Stories

You are reading this because you are considering who you are going to use to build a home - perhaps the largest single investment you might make. It is most certainly, one of the most personal investments you will make, as you, your family and your friends will build your memories in this home.
That being said, we were in the same situation back in 2015 after we bought a lot and hired an architect to build our “forever home” here in Belleair. In 2001 we built another custom home on Davis Islands using the same architect. However, our contractor has since passed away - unfortunate because we would have hired him in a heartbeat to build this this home.
So, our search began. We spent a lot of time and did a lot of due diligence during our process. We knew what a great contractor looked and felt like. However, we were well aware of all the nightmares that were possible. Well, David Habib and Frontier Homes raised the bar at every turn. As one of the people we interviewed as a reference said, “David will act as though it is his home”.
Building a custom home is all about a marriage between the architect and contractor. You are hiring a contractor and their team to manage and supervise the process. The success of the process comes down to the contractor’s sub-contractors and their commitment and understanding of the specific execution of your project. This is the area in which David excels. We were very happy with the sub-contractors and their responsiveness to David’s direction. They are well aware going into the project that David is a stickler for every detail. I can’t tell you how many times we had specific issues we had noticed and David had already noticed the issue plus others and had already put into place a process to rectify the issue. You are right - nobody is perfect. And, believe me, it will not be perfect. What you can expect is that David and his team will work to listen to you as their customer and to respond to your concerns.
What are your responsibilities in order to be a happy and satisfied customer/home owner? Know what you want. Articulate your vision for your home (Pinterest is your friend because a picture is worth a million words). Make every decision you can as early as you can and stick with it. Most of all, remember David and his team have done this way more times than you will ever do it. They know what they are doing. Communicate with them and trust them and you will end up in your dream home - just like we are!
Best,
Estelle & Scott DeMuesy
